About the speaker,
Keely Sullivan (she/her)
Keely Sullivan has focused much of her engineering career on what she likes to call 'weird buildings': complex, one-of-a-kind, and multidisciplinary projects. As the Deputy Director of Technical Services for the City of Calgary’s Green Line LRT project, she leads a team of engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to manage the contractor’s design, performance, and technical aspects of contract management. Phase 1 of the Green Line LRT will include many ‘weird buildings,’ such as several underground LRT stations, an LRV maintenance and storage facility, and several complex bridge crossings and structures. Keely also possesses a strong creative streak as a textiles artist and is fascinated by the combination of art and engineering.
