Please join us for the next of our 2024 Calgary on Purpose/Contemporary Calgary Evenings of Conversation and Connection.
The evening starts at 7 PM sharp with a few extraordinary creative Calgarians showing examples of their work, then being interviewed by the inimitable Dave Kelly and concluding with Dave engaging all of us in conversation. The program will finish by 8:30 PM with the bar staying open for those who wish to chat further.
Join us for an evening of creativity featuring three remarkable Calgarians sharing their work: Meet 'Granny,' a character crafted by Tsuut’ina Nation puppeteer and Fraggle Rock cast member DerRic Starlight. Experience the clever and sometimes daring tunes of up-and-coming country songwriter Mariya Stokes. Witness the graceful artistry of Russian-born, Calgary-trained quantum computing expert and Mexican flamenco dancer Anastassiia Alexander. Then, be touched by a fresh narrative reflecting on our surroundings from Dave Kelly. The night culminates with Dave leading us all in an engaging conversation.
Because of the generous partnership of Contemporary Calgary, the support of many volunteers and Calgary Arts Development, the evening is free to the public. We only request you to register so we can guarantee your seat - and please invite friends and colleagues.
