Yerevan series
The Yerevan series of paintings were created during a six-month stay in Armenia in 2022. In this series, Ginzburg uses an algorithm to generate complex geometric structures that form the basis of the compositions. The resulting artworks capture the architectural and experiential qualities of the city, as well as document daily encounters and impressions. Through this painterly series, Ginzburg aims to establish an ongoing dialogue between himself, as artist and maker, and the city of Yerevan, creating a visual archive of his experiences. By using the algorithm as a creative tool, he engages in a dialogue between the precision of technology and his subjective interpretation.
